It doesn't matter if you are 18 years old or 81 years young, solo or in a group, on vacation or just curious....
Tandem skydiving is the fastest and easiest way to experience the thrill of a lifetime. Feel the freedom of freefalling at 120 mph from nearly 11,000 feet!
The Tandem skydive at Rick's is by far the most popular way to make your first skydive. With minimal ground training, you are able to experience the exhilaration of freefall for nealy 40 seconds before your tandem jumpmaster opens the parachute.
After approximately 15-20 minutes of instruction, you and your Tandem Instructor will climb in the aircraft to an altitude of nearly 2 miles above the earth. Before you exit, your jumpmaster will attach you, via your tandem harness, to the front of the tandem parachute system that he is wearing.
Securely connected to your Instructor at four points of contact (on the shoulders and hips) and ready for freefall, you will both exit the airplane and freefall together until you have descended to an altitude of 5000 feet.
At 5000 feet, the Instructor will deploy the parachute that suspends you both. Until you land, you will receive "hands on" instruction in parachute control, steering and landing. The canopy (parachute) ride will last 4-6 minutes. With the passenger/pilot system, you can now make your first skydive in greater safety than ever before.
Skydive Rick's has seven U.S.P.A. and Strong Enterprises Certified Tandem Instructors. Our Tandem Instructors meet and exceed any and all regulations that are issued by both the U.S.P.A. as well as Strong Enterprises.
