"Once you skydive, you will know why birds sing.".....Rick Kuhns

A Static Line Jump is defined as "a parachute jump during which deployment of the parachute is initiated by a static line attached to the aircraft."  The Static Line Jump is the "traditional" way to learn to skydive.  Here at Skydive Rick's, we have twenty one classes through out the year, taught by USPA licensed Instructors, for you to choose from.

Static Line Courses at Skydive Rick's are held Saturdays and Sundays at 9:00am sharp and will take approximately 4-6 hours depending on the size of the class.

Pricing

  • Static lines cost ONLY $160.00 and will require a $30.00 deposit 3 days in advance of the class or the class may be canceled.
    * This amount covers everything you will need for your first skydive. From the training, to the equipment you will be using, to your instructor, to even the logbook you will be taking home with you after your first jump.  No extra fees or hidden costs.
  • If you have a group of 5 or more you will receive a $10.00 discount.
  • Special classes can be set up on the weekends if your group has at least 3 people.
  • All student jumps (after the first static line jump) will be $55.00 through your A License.

At Skydive Rick's, we have the most current and up to date gear available to the skydiving industry to make your skydive as safe, comfortable and most of all, as FUN as possible.  All of the student gear at Skydive Rick's is maintained by Rick and Kay Kuhns (the owners of Skydive Rick's).  Rick is an FAA Master Rigger and Kay is an FAA Senior Rigger.

Every student will be led through the entire day by a
USPA licensed Instructor.  Never does the student at Skydive Rick's feel unattended.

Once training is over and each student is ready, they are led by their Jump Master to make their first jump out of a perfectly good airplane.  Static Line classes (depending on the weather) will jump right after the class is finished, the very same day!

Skydive Rick's uses ground to air communications with their students so they are able to get back to the Drop Zone and have a soft, gentle, on target landing.

If there is bad weather on the day of a scheduled Static line course, we will still train you for your skydive.  Once Training is complete we will wait on the rain to clear or the winds to calm down so that we can make your jump.  If the weather does not cooperate, you can come back the next day we are open or schedule a time to make your skydive.

Dress should be comfortable depending on the weather.  Shoes of any kind can be worn with the exception of sandals and shoes that have hooks, for the safety of our students.  We will supply a jumpsuit to go over the clothes that you wear.

After making their skydive, our students are given a logbook to take with them as well as a memory of a lifetime!

What are the limitations?

You must be at least 18 years old and in reasonably good physical condition.

Due to safety considerations, the weight limit for Static Line jumps are 240 lbs, with height and weight being proportional.
Various factors will be assessed to determine our ability to take you on a skydive. These include but are not limited to: weight, height, body type, and medical history.

Want to come out and take our Static Line Course?
